Description
Before production, we inspect the raw materials for dimensions, wall thickness, surface quality, and straightness.
We primarily ensure the tubing is free from significant dents, cracks, corrosion, or other defects that could affect
subsequent processing. Wall thickness typically ranges from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm to ensure sufficient strength and rigidity.
After the steel arrives on-site, it undergoes surface degreasing and derusting; some materials also receive
galvanizing or phosphating treatments. These processes enhance rust resistance and improve the adhesion of
subsequent coatings. All our pipes are straightened prior to cutting to ensure that straightness deviations are
kept within 0.5 mm.
Precision Tube Cutting
Workers use laser cutters or CNC tube benders to precisely cut and bend the steel according to the blueprints.
Tubes of varying lengths are used to fabricate the chair’s radial backrest, the outer curved structure, the seat
supports, and the base frame. The radial structure—resembling a peacock spreading its tail—requires a high
degree of consistency in the curvature and angle of each “feather-like” support arm.
After cutting, workers inspect the length and cut angle of each pipe and remove any burrs or sharp edges
generated during the process to prevent them from causing scratches during subsequent operations or
injury to users.
Tubular Bending & Forming
The most distinctive feature of the Peacock Chair is its fan-shaped backrest structure, which requires precise
bending and shaping of the tubing. Workers use specialized equipment to bend the tubes incrementally,
ensuring that each piece forms a uniform, fluid curve.
Peacock-Style Backrest Assembly
Next, the workers arrange the peacock chair’s signature fan-like radial structure according to the blueprints.
The spacing, spread angle, and connection points of each tubular component are precisely positioned to ensure
the backrest creates a uniform radial effect. Specialized positioning jigs are used to secure the components in place.
Welding & Structural Reinforcement
Once positioning is complete, professional welders perform welding at the connection points of the various
pipe fittings. The components are joined using either CO2 gas-shielded welding or argon arc welding. The weld
seams must be full and uniform, with no instances of incomplete fusion or missed welds. Appropriate welding
methods are selected based on the specific connection locations.
Critical stress points—such as the junctions between the seat and backrest, and between the legs and the
main frame—are reinforced with additional stiffeners or triangular support plates to enhance overall torsional
and compressive strength. Following welding, the seams undergo grinding and polishing to remove slag,
spatter, and irregularities, ensuring a smooth finish at the connection points.
Surface Finishing
Appropriate surface coloring and protective treatments are applied based on the client’s selection. Metal
frames typically undergo pretreatment followed by powder coating or other suitable surface treatments
to create a uniform color and protective layer. Common surface finishing processes for metal frames include
electrostatic powder coating or high-temperature baked enamel.
After spraying, high-temperature curing is applied to ensure the coating adheres firmly to the metal surface,
preventing peeling or rusting during long-term use. This process also enhances the chair’s resistance to friction,
scratches, and environmental factors encountered in daily use.
This peacock chair is more than just a piece of furniture; it is a functional work of art. It brings a unique,
sculptural flair to modern living spaces, serving as a striking focal point or a perfect backdrop for photos
in living rooms, entryways, bedroom corners, high-end clubs, or art galleries. Its vintage aesthetic blends
seamlessly with diverse interior styles—ranging from European and American to New Chinese and modern
“light luxury”—infusing your home with distinctive character and sophistication. If you are also looking for
